The hall played host to Nidd Art Trail, offering a free space to local artists who wanted to take part in this year’s trail but lacked a suitable space to open up at home.

We were joined by Nidderdale Shades, run by Chris Skaife showcasing her handmade lampshades, making shades throughout the day.

Also on display was work by the Nidderdale Stitchers embroidery group, Lofthouse Art Club (who will be coming along to our Christmas Meet The Makers event on 26th November), Charles Mellor brought examples of his Chinese brushwork, Julia Collins displayed her acrylic and watercolour paintings, and Lynda Logan, of Calendar Girls fame, brought a display of her paintings.

It was a great chance to get artists together under one roof as part of the annual trail, and we’re already looking forward 2023!
